Colcannon
Ireland are very common foods cooked with potatoes.
The most famous is the Colcannon, a typical dish of the cuisine of Ireland. It is prepared with mashed potatoes, sprouts leaves or cabbage,
butter, salt and
pepper. It may also contain other
ingredients such as milk, cream, onion,
garlic, boiled ham or Irish bacon.
According to an old Irish tradition on Halloween, it must be served with colcannon small
coins hidden. In Ireland, it is
still customary to hide coins in the colcannon potatoes this
day.

The Irish breakfast is bulky and heavy: pork sausage, sliced bacon, eggs, black pudding (blood in meat cooked), mushrooms, black pudding, oatmeal, tea or coffee, toast or bread soda.

Irish Whiskey and beer.

in Ireland, however is traditionally black beer.
Desserts
Irish also love to eat desserts after meals. The strawberries with cream and honey are widely consumed in summer, while other specialties
such as cheese pudding,
cookies oatmeal or apple pie can be tasted throughout the year. This is the Porridge a simple dish made
as oats (usually crushed) or other cereals, cooked in water, milk or a mixture of water and milk.
